The Eddystone Inn, Heybrook Bay

A great pub, and just what you want to find when you're on holiday.

It regularly has two or three different guest ales, many of which come from local Southwest breweries. The food is excellent, as is the evening entertainment which is often laid on.

The best bit is the view, which look over Heybrook Bay towards the Eddystone lighthouse which can be seen on the horizon.

Coalbrookdale Inn, Coalbrookdale

During a spell at University in Ironbridge, I had the pleasure of attending the 'Dale every evening (which probably explains my precarious finances today and my increased waistline).

The pub is a free house and has at least three new ales each week. It is a pure atmosphere place without a jukebox or arcade games. The Landlord really knows his beer, and you'd have to go a long way to find a better kept cellar.

Above all, the hospitality and food are second to none. If a birthday is made known, then 'The World's Worst Choir' belt out a resounding (if not painful) rendition of 'Happy Birthday to You'. I cannot rate it highly enough, and recommend it to everyone.
