Robin Hood, Tring

One of the happiest, friendliest pubs for miles. Excellent bar staff, too - somehow they get you served quickly even when the place is packed, as it often is of a Friday or Saturday evening. All down to experienced and effective management, I'd imagine. Highly recommended.

The Grand Junction Arms, Bulbourne

This place has been very nicely refurbished and has gone up in the world on a number of counts. Come and bring your friends!

The main improvement for my wife and myself, who eat out a lot, is in the quality of the food. It's now up there with and, in our opinion, beyond the standard of local 'gastro-pubs' like the Alford Arms, The Greyhound and The Bricklayers Arms. We've eaten there three times and found the food to be unremittingly delicious! Good wine, too. We desperately hope that the word gets around so that The Junction remains in operation as it is now.

We unreservedly recommend it.
