The Hurtwood Inn, Peaslake
This is a cracking pub. Thanks to the previous comments we were not expecting fast service, however, when the food arrived it was lovely and well presented (tasted as good as it looked too!). This was complemented by a well kept range of four real ales Mmmm!
We (a party of 7 - including my 16 year old son) had been tramping round the Downs on a cold day and they were not phased by our request to sit in the bar for the 10 minutes until it opened. Highly recomend this pub - just program it into your sat-nav or take a good map! It can be a little tricky to find otherwise (despite being signposted from the A25).
