The Old White Hart, Northampton

My favourite pub in Northampton! Non-smoking (which, although I don't smoke doesn't seem to bother my mates who do as there's a heated, undercover outdoor area). The food here is really something different to the norm and they serve tapas which is a brilliant low-price alcohol accompaniment. The decor is superb and everything is classy and tastefully done.
Get there between 5pm & 8pm at the weekend and they have a special 15 a bottle deal on champagne. Heaven!!
Last but not least, they have a massive car-park and beautifully large courtyard garden. If you're in Northampton and haven't paid this place a visit yet - get your skates on and get down there!

The Charles Bradlaugh, Northampton

I love the mixed crowd that you find here! Despite the size of this pub, it seems you can nearly always find somewhere to tuck yourself out of the way if you so choose as there's loads of nooks & crannies and different levels.
The pub garden isn't overly large but is fab to take in some sun and have a nice meal (the Chef's specials are mouth-wateringly good).
Big car park which is almost unheard of in Northampton town centre but a word of warning...if you leave your car overnight make sure you've moved it before lunchtime the following day. I think the Licensees have probs with p*ss-takers who are too tight to pay for in-town parking so have to employ clamping services.

The Picturedrome, Northampton

Stuck up? Would rather say what a breath of fresh air this place (and the crowd in it) is. This is definitely NOT for your average Chav!
Good location - right opposite the Racecourse park in Northampton and anyone living in Abington can consider it their 'local'.
Great front bar - louvered windows are opened the minute the sun shines which is a good substitution for pavement-cafe-style-drinking. Back bar is cavernous - think it actually used to be a cinema back in the day. Good live music (of all sorts), cool DJ's, food not too bad either (they actually do a take-away service if you ask them).
All in all, quite a cool addition to the N'pton nightlife scene.
