The Halfway House, Pitney

Can't understand the fuss about this ordinary pub, Sure they have 10 beers but it's so busy with generally unfriendly locals they obviously get through a lot. Grubby, cramped and awful tables and chairs. Won't be going again..

The Old Custom House, Langport

I can't understand anyone who thinks there's a living to be made from this shabby, formally unfriendly, old pub.

Take a look around mate, most pubs that aren't closed are struggling.

I think it's great that the Church are proposing a community scheme. "Archie's extra" on the rec is well supported on Monday evening's which show's there's a need.

Some of the comments on the indicated web site are close to libel and I'd be careful mate.

The Rose and Crown, Huish Episcopi

Eli's is such a great pub.
The beer is well kept, the owners are lovely people, the locals are friendly, (I'm one!!) The food is good and hearty, guest bands are great fun as is the other entertainment like "Eli's verses the Rest of the World" cricket match and the annual visit by the steam traction engine fraternity.

For me this is the perfect country pub; I love it!!
