Fox Inn, Carlton

Visited Sat 21 Oct 2012 for an evening meal. The restaurent has a lovely atmosphere, being small and intimate. The choice of 5 main courses including one vegetarian are priced very reasonably at �8-�9, with steaks in the �13-�17 range depending on weight. I had a steak pie with veg and chips. The pie was brimming with tender chunks of meat in a rich gravy. The chips were to die for, beautifully tasty and non-greasy. My friend had the chicken wrapped in smoked bacon with tomato compote with veg and potatoes. We both finished with a dessert of banana cheescake and ginger ice cream.
