The One Tun, Farringdon

An old skool London pub, these sort of places keep a bit of character in the area, rather than countless chain pubs and food places everywhere.
Has the advantage of being across the road from where I'm working.
Fine for a quick beer at lunchtime/just after work, before the commute.

The Hope and Sirloin, Farringdon

Was relieved to find this boozer the other lunchtime as I'd wandered around Farringdon past countless gastropub type places (hate them), cafes, bars, in the search of a pub I could go to without being surrounded by people eating smelly lunches. (Usually tourist wallies eating fish and chips in the sweltering heat of July 2013)
The Hope did the trick and ticks the box as an old skool London boozer. You wouldn't go there for a night out but it's a good daytime pub.
