Logan Rock Inn, St Levan

My wife and I plus two friends visited the pub at 6pm last week. All tables in the Public Bar had reserved tabs on them with a note to say who had reserved them, the time and how many persons - three tables seating four people were reserved for just two people on each! Being disabled I cannot stand at a bar and did not fancy drinking in the abortion for a bar across the corridor, so plonked ourselves down at a table reserved for two diners at 7pm. A round of drinks cost 11. 40 - which we thought was a lot, however we were staying in motor caravans at the village camp site and with no other pub in the village, had no choice but pay it. By 6.50pm we had bought three rounds (34.20) and were then asked by a member of staff to move to allow the two diners to have our table. This we found very humiliating, and with all other tables either reserved or occupied we had to sit outside on what was a cool evening. Had we been allowed to remain at the table we would have had at least two more rounds making a total spend of at least 60. We noted that the two persons taking our place both had half pints of either cider or beer. We would liked to have seen how much they spent on food All four of us having been in business for many years, before our retirement, thought this was very bad economics. Had we felt more welcome we would have used the pub for the next five nights of our stay in the village with a total spend of at least 300. As it was, we did all our remaining drinking in our vans. We thought it was a shame that what appeared to be a village pub was obviously a pseudo restaurant, serving what looked like very inferior and pricey food.
