The Dog Hangs Well, Ludlow

Jon (AKA 'the Editor' of the Ludlow Ledger and Doghouse Magazine) keeps his ales in meticulous order at "The Dog." Over the last year he has developed an ever-changing repertoire of esoteric pale ales, interesting single-hopped IPA's and other meticulously sourced cask ales. Only one will be on tap, but you'll be rewarded! You'll be sure of a good conversation with either Jon or one of the usual crowd.

Artisan Ales, Ludlow

Gary runs a fine upstairs room (or as he prefers "micro pub") catering for the die hard ale fans. Straight from the cask, the ales are all fresh and well kept. He has great connections with the local (and Northern) trade outlets. Often on tap are the Salopian or Ludlow Brewery ales. A well kept Ludlow secret. Downstairs is a selection of bottle conditioned ales - for the way home. Don't expect any Belgium rarities or New World hipster beers in cans....

The Bridge, Topsham

For beer - quite simply one of the best.
