Moores Bar, Chertsey

Another one bites the dust.
Moores Bar was taken over about 18 months ago by a couple and was given an 'Australian theme'. There are so many things wrong with this place and the running of it.
Its a relatively small venue and has quite a good selection of beers and spirits, prices aren't bad but the bar lacks any kind of ambience and the bar staff seem ill trained and lacking in character.
As a local resident, I have to ask why the bar has been labelled 'Aussie themed' except for the fact that I think the owner may have descended from there. It doesn't seem that the owners have carried out any market research or have any business knowledge about why the previous owners had to shut up shop. The idea of opening up a bar because you like a beer is similar to opening a coffee shop because you enjoy a coffee in the morning. This is just another example of 'lets run a bar, I think it'll be fun' ethos....which rarely works out well. I have seen a sign recently that the place is shutting down and its hardly a surprise.
