Up until the change of management this was my favourite pub in the UK. Beer could not be faulted for choice, price and quality and the home made food was so good I was tempted in for giant fresh cod & chips or home made steak pie regularly on weekday lunchtimes. Never made it on an evening and only tried once on match day and couldn't get through the door due to the wall to wall bodies!
Now I shan't be going there so often as despite the beer still being well up to standard, I was disappointed with all aspects of the food, especially as both my usual choices are no more.
C'est la vie!

I'm glad to see positive reports since my post in May 2008. I'll keep checking and when the homemade meat pies and giant cod are back then I'll be too!
