The Thai Bok Bar, Marylebone

A great sports bar. Really friendly staff, 2 ales on tap and lagers include Staropramen and Fosters. Reasonably priced, though not the cheapest in the area, but I'd say that it's worth it because the staff are very friendly, it's got a nice interior with a choice of booths or open tables for seating.

The thai food is actually excellent, I was quite surprised to find, and very reasonably priced!

I'd definitely recommend Bok Bar!

The Gunmakers, Marylebone

Moved back to Marylebone recently after being away for a little over a year. Last time I was in this pub was around last July, when I decided never to come in again. The staff were moody, particularly the manager at the time, who was quite possibly the rudest man I have ever met.

Had a catch up drink with a friend and the Coach Makers and he suggested we come up to Gunmakers, and I must say I am delighted at what it has become. Following a recent upheaval and complete overhaul of staff in the last year, this place is my new favorite!

The girls behind the bar are so friendly, always laughing and up for a chat with the customers, which is great! It's a really lovely atmosphere, aside from a few of the moaney-groaney types amongst customers, but what pub doesn't have those?

There's a great selection of real ales including Timothy Taylor Landlords and London Pride. Lagers on tap include Becks Vier, Budweiser and Staropramen, but there's about 10 others, I just don't remember. There's a variety of spirits, too! Something for everyone!

I would be so happy to recommend this pub to anybody in the area. Excellent atmosphere, great to go with friends OR alone for a quiet pint. Although if you're looking for quiet, then try to avoid Friday nights - I walked past last week and people were spilling out everywhere, but it looked like they were having a whale of a time!

The Coach Makers, Marylebone

Just moved back to the Marylebone area after being away for around a year. The Coach Makers is just as I remember it. The drinks are very overpriced, the staff are just there to serve pints - very formal, not much room for a laugh. It's okay, but I wouldn't stay for more than one drink.
