Being part disabled I don't visit pubs that often. However, I called here recently for something to eat and waas allowed to bring my two black labs (and my wife!) in with me.
I'm not a beer drinker, whisky is my tipple, so cannot comment on the beers though there was a large variety available. The food was super and moderately priced, the atmosphere was second to none - due to a well trained team led by a pleasant professional lady called Karen. Though I don't live in the area, I will certainly call again en passant and would commend the White Horse to anybody. This is what an English pub should be like.

The Blue Bell Inn, Cocking
Hving driven past this pub for many years, observed several metomorphoses but never called in, my wife and I decided to stop for some lunch yesterday. A lovely ambience inside and a warm welcome from the hosts. A superb lunch which showed obvious classic training, beautifully presented without being ostentatious. Perhaps the lightest tempura I have ever seen, and the home made rolls were pretty good too! Although I am not a beer drinker, I had a couple of glasses of TEA which in the words of the host, were 'pleasant on the palate'. Competitively priced, they deserve every success - I shall return and I recommend any others to try The Blubell at Cocking. Bernie Stevens. 23. 10. 10.
