The Three Horseshoes, Marlow

My first impression was that it is more of a restaurant than a pub. Very busy at lunchtime and the food looked very appetising. Only passing through so just a a half of Rebellion Green Shoots - very good. 6 ales on including Mutiny, Mild and Blond(e). I will return when in the area.

The Shepherds Crook, Crowell

Two ales on; Black Country Bitter and Best Mates Vicar's Daughter. The BMVD was borderline on/off with floaty bits. Only there for a half so didn't make a song and dance. Nice pub and seemed friendly, but ultimately disappointing.

Masons Arms, Headington

Luckily for a midweek visit there was a firkin of Old Bog Dancing Morris available in splendid condition at 2.30/pint. Also available WBB GOB, Hook Norton Old Hooky and Brakspear Oxford Gold. Well worth a short detour from the A40.

If you read this tonight (Wed. 11th June) Old Bog Quarry Gold will be available tomorrow.

Rumour is that the brewery housed in the (ex)toilet block at the rear of the pub is to increase capacity from 1 barrel (36 galls) to 5 barrels......more Old Bog beer, more often!!
