Since the new tenant took over nearly 2 years ago the pub has undergone a transformation.
The interior has been sympathetically refurbished in a traditional style with wood & tile floors & paneling throughout.
Live music events are hosted 4 evenings a week as well as a quiz on Wednesday nights. At the time of this review the jackpot was £500. Mind you I'm told its quite a tough quiz!!!
The staff were polite & friendly and the atmosphere really welcoming with open fires on a bleak wintry day!
This pub is a must for the weirdly beardy real ale enthusiast as there was 6 hand pulls in operation plus old Rosie Scrumpy on draught.
This old school boozer is a heavenly oasis amongst the noisy alcopop infested bars that surround it.
Only a shame no food available but I'm told that will change in the near future.

The Market Hotel, Reigate

Found the doorstaff to be really helpful and not at all intimidating. Music was fantastic,best light show for a pub in surrey. The barstaff working like mad but still laughing and joking. Talked to the manager about having a work party here, he was very helpful even though he couldn't let us have the upstairs to ourselves on a weekend night. Shooters a bit pricey but not nearly as bad as that bloody tickled place.
