The Old Goat, Fulwell

After recently moving back to the area, I was really impressed with what the new owners have done to this pub. There seems to be an abundent amount of pubs in the imediate area that lack any kind of character or a pub that doesn't serve mass produced pub grub.
After visiting on a friday night we were welcomed at the bar by an extremely helpful barman, was served fantastic freshly prepared food (we both had catch of the day) by a great waitress in the very un-stuffy restaurant followed by an after dinner drink in the saloon bar.
All-in-all we were spoilt for choice both at the bar and restaurant and you would do very well to find a local pub that comes close to beating this one.
I can't wait to go back on a Sunday evening for their live Chill-out accoustic sessions!
