The Cricketers, Guildford

We found the food decidedly average. It was quite smoky in the restaurant area. We found one of the serving staff to be incredibly rude. She asked us to remove some tissue from the table (which was there because the baby had a cold), compaining that the other patrons might be offended. She also complained about us seating the baby on the edge of the table. Her comment was "this is a restaurant, you know".

We though was an interesting comment, given that it was hardly the most upmarket pub/restaurant we'd been in. We were sitting there quietly, the baby was behaving very well, yet the party opposite were being incredibly raucus and she saw fit to complain to us. Suffice to say, we won't be returning.
