Magdalens, Ripon

Better choice of beers than previous review suggests. Old Hooky (personal favourite) and Adnams Regatta in addition to those listed. Traditional, slightly old fashioned interior but a very decent boozer nontheless.

The One Eyed Rat, Ripon

Excellent real ale pub, best (only, really) in Ripon. Wide choice of guest beers when we went, 7 or more. Very popular, though it was a Saturday night following Ripon races. Still, has a beer garden which is larger than it first seems so seating not a problem. Good atomsphere and cosy, friendly interior. Highly recommended.
