Sadly the menu has changed, and the food's not as good as it was. Had a rather weird platter where mediterranean and eastern influences were mixed together, not very successfully.

The Royal George, Charing Cross Road

Once upon a time they did quite nice food. But the last two meals I ordered her were reallly bad - the second time I just gave up and sent it back. Burnt steak sandwich. (How hard can that be.) The time before that they served a lamal kebab not in the pitta as it used to be srbed with mint yoghurt, but next to the pitta which was cut up into pieces as if for a child, in what appeared to be a dog bowl. Won't be eating there again.

All Bar One, Soho

They do seem to be cutting back on staff. Only one bar person on and one manager type running around. And struggling with a new menu. I had something quite nice to eat the other day - but was amazed to see some member of staff or worker sit down at the next table and proceed to eat his lunch out of a plastic container in front of customers.
