The Anglers, Teddington

The management of this place is evidently lacking. We went there on a hot day, midweek in the summer holidays, specifically because it's ideal for families. It wasn't particularly busy because it was a late lunch (post 2.30pm). When our food was brought to the table we asked for cutlery and condiments, to which the waitress replied that she was too busy ("I'm the only one on the floor" were her words) and that we would have to find them ourselves. I have never seen bar staff work as slowly as they do at this place. I ordered four soft drinks (I had to repeat my order three times as the barmaid didn't seem to be able to remember between each drink) and it took a full five minutes to pour them out and take my money. No wonder there are queues in this place; one soon built up behind me. Fullers need to get competent managers in to recruit, train and manage the staff; very little of that seems to be happening right now. What a disappointment.
