The Warrington Hotel, Maida Vale

A truly awful experience. The IPA tasted like vinegar. I asked for it to be swapped to be told that they'd taste it. They duly did and handed it back saying it was fine. Even if it had been, this is appalling service. How many people complain about their pints on average? This was the 1st time in years that I've complained. The only reason why I went is because I work close by and it looks great. I won't be going back ever.

Strawberry Moons, Mayfair

I booked my wife's 30th here. We booked for 15 covers which appeared on the receipt. When we arrived there was seating for 6 people. Not wishing to make a fuss, I didn't complain. After about 30 minutes a couple more of my mates turned up so I went to get a couple of chairs. A very aggressive lady came across telling me to put the chairs back. An argument then commenced where I pointed out that our receipt said 15 covers and she said that might be true but they always emailed to say that only 6 seats would be provided. After a couple of minutes I gave up with the woman and asked that she calm down and we'd handle the lack of seating. 10 minutes later, the woman returned with a guy claiming to be the manager. The guy said that I'd insulted his staff and that I should leave. I tried to reason with the fellow but he was adamant that I'd been rude and I'd have to leave. After we received a refund we went over the road and had a great time in the Italian restaurant opposite. Under no circumstances book a party there. I am truly shocked by the atitude of this venue.
