The Beehive, Horringer

After reading the last posters comment (wessvinglin) I thought I would add an alternative experience of this pub.
My husband and I have lived in the village for 3 years and I grew up here locally and often went to The Beehive in its former guise with mixed experiences but mostly I liked the offering of a little gastro pub as opposed to the The 6 Bells and the social club offerings which both have their place.
I have to admit at first I was miffed we would have a Thai pub knowing some of the ones I have visited before in other places but I have to say I have eaten here half a dozen times since they re-opened and it gets better each time we go.
It's a new business and will take time to find its feet and I for one advocate supporting local pubs whatever they may offer as it would be a shame to lose it, especially as 3/4 pubs close daily or so I am told.
The food isn't what I would call posh Thai cuisine but it is very good to most restaurants you go to these days, service is great - love the landlady who has a fab sense of humour, we always feel welcome and they made a great effort on my Dad's birthday when I arranged a bottle of fizz on arrival and a birthday cake, even turned the lights out and sang with us!
I have been enough times to count this as one of my local favourites, either if I don't want to cook or want to have a nice social occasion with friends and family.
The food is good, not badly priced, always served hot and fresh and I think quite tasty.
It isn't trying to be something its not either like Zen which is a bit of everything and about the same price.
All in all I would say give it a go, relax and enjoy, the wine is also excellent for what you pay (the shiraz and sauvignon blanc are lovely) dishes I would recommend satay skewers best I have ever had and no sauce out of a jar and the lamb massaman curry big chunks of lamb very tender.
There are sweeter dishes I have had the sweet and sour prawns which were crispy and not swimming in sauce with crunchy vegetables. My partner loves the chilli beef which they do extra hot if you ask.
I think they cater for most types of diner and I would definitely recommend you try it once!
Plus they are starting a wine club soon so watch this space!
