The Coppermill Tavern, Walthamstow
Played in a football tournament at the Douglas Eyre Sports Club the other Saturday and this pub as well as being in 2013's GBG was also opposite the entrance.
A real locals pub with a friendly welcome.
4 ales on draught, I had a few good pints of Theakstons "Masham Four and Twenty", the Adnams "Ghost Ship" however was not so good.
Horse racing was being shown on the television with it being Derby day the watching crowd was large.
There is a large beer garden / patio to the side as you enter the pub and you are also able to stand outside on the pavement drinking.

Proper old fashioned pub tucked away off of Borough High St and in the shadow of the Shard.
4 ales on tap in this open plan pub, I had a pint of Harvey's IPA which was decent
I am unsure whether I have been to this pub before but it did seem familiar when I was inside.
Decent place for a few beers.

The Birkbeck Tavern, Leyton
2nd pub of the day after having had a few fair in the Coppermill we moved on by cab to the Birkbeck.
This is a huge pub with an equally massive garden. Food was being served in the garden by way of a bar b q that was being tended to by the landlord.
7 ales on draught, the many pints of Mighty Oak's Brockton Blockbuster I had were very good.
Karaoke started around 8pm and even though I was in the garden for the whole time you could here the music but it didn't drown you.
This pub must have one of the friendliest landlords I have come across in a long while.
All in all a top pub, good atmosphere, great beer and good quality food to boot.
