The Ship At Cockwood, Cockwood

The pub itself is excellent,the beer is good and the food is acceptable.
The hosts however are very arogant and extremely off hand and verging on rude,
they have no sense of a welcoming attitude.

Thye act as if they are doing you a favour by serving you.
Hardly a good trait when the pub is empty in the middle of feb.

Their attitude was very pompous and dis interested even with the few locals we saw in the pub. The locals themselves were very friendly and good company.

The Anchor is a better choice, the food is as good, as is the beer but the welcome is warm friendly and fun.

Avoid the Ship it is not a good advert for traditional pub landlords and welcoming
atmosphere.
