The Magpie and Crown, Brentford

Popped in after work and found a lively traditional style pub with a friendly atmosphere. There were 6 real ales on tap (e.g. Wandsworth Blunderbus, Portobello VPA etc) on a constant rotation plus a couple of real ciders. Also has plenty of bottled beers and continental ones too

The Sun, Hounslow

First impressions are a very nicely decorated pub with a lot of space and a good layout. Artistic statues, modern colour combining with older features like wooden panelling and various quotes written on the walls. Only real ale available is London Pride but it is a good pint. Only downside for me wad the music videos on the tv screens but I guess that's a personal thing.

The Duke Of York, Acton

Seeing there are no recent reviews of this place thought I'd better add mine. Having been here all week and observed it it really is a local only pub. Each night had the same couples slanting each other at the bar in a Jeremy Kyle style, bar staff just ignore this without intervention. Rest of the locals encourage it and sit back. Really surreal place. Only positives are that the London Pride is good and the decor has been refreshed over previous comments but the carpets ate still very poor. All in all one to avoid unless you really need a beer
