Fox & Coney Inn, South Cave

Things are looking up here once again. The beer is good. Seems to be getting a younger person's reputation but now they have the Bear Inn across the road maybe a good mix can be achieved. Not so keen on the food though - that has some way to go and speaking to a local I hear the turn over of staff means standard vary by the week. Will try again in a few weeks to see if things have settled down. Dog still there though - the dog drool was very off putting and no one seemed bothered.

The Yorkshire Terrier Inn, York

visited twice late January 2011. Had been here several times before and love the place. The beer is always reliable and the place has that lived in look. Avoid the food though - there are lots of other better places in the locality. A total mix of people visit and everyone is always friendly. The only off putting thing is getting served. The staff seem to think they are as part of their social life and your presence is clearly an inconvenience.
