The Rising Sun, Lewisham

This is a traditional local pub. It had a reputation for late night lock-ins (but actually always had a late license) and would loock the doors after 11.00. It changed management last year and is improving (it was a bit of a dump) so visit and encouage it!.Its been partially refurbed (May08). The staff are very competent and friendly. It keeps London Pride very well and has just added Speckled Hen. Prices are reasonable (�2.70-�2.90 pint).
Big on darts and pool and, for those who smoke, it has an excellent outside paio/garden area. Often fee food on offer from pool/darts tournament wihich the staff invite customers to take.
Clientele are quite mixed - worth popping in for a pint if you're passing - plans to do food menu soon.
