The Porterhouse, Covent Garden
Nothing less than three sample trays, each with three beers plus a seasonal one. In addition to their own draught lagers, stouts and ales there is a quite impressive international bottle menu. Delicious food; the Porterhouse Frying Pan is highly recommendable. Decent service and cosy atmosphere. Best time for sampling beers should be in the afternoon before it gets too busy and crowded

The Standing Order, Edinburgh
No less than 16 active hand pumps, most of the ales to be found in the program for Wetherspoons real ale festival, Nov. 08. We had a great time drinking different kind of real ales from 1/3 pint glass.
