Ex RAF, love real ale - when I can get it! Like visiting local pubs/inns, especially those that take the trouble to look after the beer properly. Unfortunately, there's not too much of that in my local area, although there are some good pubs.

Recently reopened after 18 months, now totally non smoking (inside) - smokers may smoke on verandah outside. Charles Well beers, including Bombadier, Eagle and guest. Also lagers and draught cider. fairly goo but lacks a little atmosphere - will probably improve after a while - early days yet.

The Red Lion, West Deeping
Good range of real ales, in general well kept. More of a restaurant pub than a local however. Food very good, landlord and wife and staff excellent. Booking for meals recommended, no-smoking restaurant.
