Beer has been top notch the two occasions I've been in since Di and John have taken over. I think the pub needs people's full support as ambitious plans are afoot which will make it a great boozer. It's not as if Birkenhead is awash with decent pubs.
All it needs for now is it to start selling sausage rolls

Beer quality improved in the last few months ; pity there is the possibility of it closing after the lease wasn't renewed

Come one, come all : lovely sausage rolls. Now beat down the door for scouse in the winter ; chips in the evening and continued support for this fine pub
