Marstons pub. Locals' boozer but not unfriendly. Interesting compared to city centre pubs in London in that you can still get locals' pubs in the city centre (or at least not far) in Manchester. Pedigree was good, I'd return if in the area again.

LAst post is spot on. More 'boho' than traditional pub but an interesting selection of beers and I have to say, great food. Lamb kofte was fresh and delicious. 2 hand pulled ales and Sierra Nevada on draught which I hadn't seen before.

The Swan, Walton on Thames
Came in here for first time today for Sunday lunch. Decent enough food though beef was a bit tough. Came with friends and 4 kids. Would return. Marshmellow on draught was nice. All in all, only been here once but would say it's better than earlier reviews suggest. That said, I can imagine when the weather's good and the garden's full, you could face a nightmarish wait for food.
