The Priorslee, Telford

Whilst there is nothing really "special" about the pub itself, the location by the lake makes for a pleasant family visit on a sunny day. Yes, I know this site is beer in the EVENING but this is the sort of place one takes parents or family for a inexpensive lunch. The kids have several play areas to distract and the oldies can take a gentle stroll around the lake viewing in the various flora and fauna.
A couple of real ales were on offer; the Black Sheep was unfortunately off but was the pint quickly and unquestionably swapped for a decent Pedigree.
Don't set expectations too high and I reckon you'll be quite happy to visit, even return again.

The Princess Louise, Holborn

Not sure I could see what the fuss was about this place. OK, so the Sammy Smiths was only just over 2 quid a pint, but with all those doors what a hassle of a place to walk around with pint and bag/jacket in hand trying to find a corner to sit or stand!
Its main feature seems to be a large number of people smoking in the street out front.
Perhaps it is a place better suited to colder days.

The Knights Templar, Chancery Lane

Had an extremely pleasant Thursday evening here. Busy enough to have atmosphere but not so that it felt crowded. Great range of drinks, friendly and enthusiastic bar staff, lovely building interior, plus clean and spacious loos make for an excellent pub experience. Almost a 10, but...
Only small let down was with the food; we'd ordered one of the Thursday curry club large deals and, whilst the curry itself was fine and promptly served, we were rather disappointed with the over-cooked extra naans, poppadums, and onion bhajis that made up the "large" element. The bhaji was quite inedible - I mentioned this and was served a much better freshly cooked one so it shows they can do it right, well done!
..and oh yes, the pints of Titanic Tug Light were superb!
