Staff training and attitude is obviously massively important to me and everybody who comes in the pub, i have shown all my managers the comments that have been placed on this site because i think it is important they know how you all feel as well.
I am working very hard on the staff and feel they are responding to me but as i said before this requires time and as the manager i do not accept a bad attitude and expect them to be friendly all the time so comments like this are very useful when it comes to me knowing what training is required so thankyou again.

No this is the management response to you comments as i am the manager and would never try and hide behind a false name.
I appreciate all the comments put on this site good and bad and do read them, what i would like to say in response is that although i have worked in the pub for 3 and half years i have only actually been the manager fo 2 and a half months and as anybody who works in this business knows it takes time to improve a reputation that has taken quite a battering over the last 18 months.
A lot of these comments compare us against a pub that is 10 years younger than we are so it is going to be easier to maintain and look that bit tidier.
Also the comments regarding the management not caring and being very bad etc i would also like to add that we have had quite a change in the management team as well as myself in the last few months.
Although there is negative comments that i do agree with ie the tables being sticky and the pub looking dated, what i would like to say is we are trying to improve the standards ( slowly replacing tables and trying to smarten up the tired looking decor believe it or not on a challenging budget).
What i would like to defend is the management attitude, i have a very good management team and we are working very hard on improving the standards, hygiene and trying to make your visits that much better.
This pub is never going to be everyones cup of tea i accept that, but as a new manager just ask to be given a chance to make the required improvements, and belive it or not do appreciate all your comments good and bad. I am also always available in the pub so if you feel you want to pass your comments on in person then please feel free to come and see me.
