The Castle Inn, Skipton

Spent a night in Skipton during a walking holiday in May 2010, had a pint of Theakston's best, which was standard, the pub was extremely busy - it was late on a Saturday evening, but the bar staff were coping, and seemed very pleasant, the client�le were mainly locals.

The Berney Arms Inn, Berney Arms

My first visit here, was by boat in 1976 - the Summer of all Summers.
I must have been feeling peckish, because I can recall having the steak, chips and peas, three times ! By the end of the rather boozy evening, the landlord was referring to me as '' Hungry Horace.'' I know this is hardly a recent review, but I just wanted to share a very happy memory with you :-)
