The Upsteps Inn, Oldham

Friendly barmaid, some unnerving characters queuing impatiently at 8.58 in the morning, to be served. Excellent pint of Wainwright's, Old Rosie available from the cardboard box, but too strong for 9 am!

Interesting building, typical long treck up hills and down dales to get to the toilets.

The Ashton Arms, Oldham

Friendly old-fashioned pub, with good real ales. Handy 1st stopping off point if going to the Up Steps.

The Lansdowne Hotel, Canton

Now known as The Lansdowne Pub. Former CAMRA real ale pub of the year. I've heard good things about the real cider, though haven't been myself yet. Must go soon.

Good selection of real ales according to their website.
