Sorry - the 1.10.15 - struggling with the cider induced headache!

Was there Thursday 2.10.15. Old fashioned, traditional bar, selling real cider (which is very strong and makes me grin insanely!).

Excellent Taunton real cider, full of local characters. Very old fashioned and worth a visit. Handily placed, about 100 yards from the Apple Tree, if you fancy a real cider sesh.

Bizarrely this pub closes at 9:00pm Monday to Thursday, so I am unfortunately unable to leave a review on this occasion.

Spit and sawdust. No real ale. Extremely local crowd, and amazingly busy on an early Saturday afternoon. Land lady was friendly, though the same can't be said about some of the clientele. Some people might feel a little uncomfortable here. Nonetheless, the sense of community spirit is undeniable. Showcases 'the other side' of Bristol.

Thatchers Trad cider is cheap and well-kept here.
Certainly not a gentrified pub, smokers in the toilets and closed early last Saturday night a because a fight had broken out.

Local, verging on the threatening.

Not very nice, really.

Mind you, compared to the Apple Tree round the corner...
