Overcrowded on matchdays with United fans from anywhere but Manchester after getting off at Piccadilly station. Typical JDW pub. Handy for a swift one. ng10 - 10 Aug 2011 10:23
Still can't work out why its called The Manchester & County when the sign simply says Wetherspoons! It is a bog-standard 'spoons boozer with all goes with it.! mcroyal - 15 Mar 2011 14:05

An average spoons. The english beer drinker's macdonalds. But on a sunday morning at 10am with a hangover you could not fault it. Fry up and pint for a fiver. I can't knock it. dry_riser_inlet - 24 Oct 2010 16:45
Wholly unremarkable 'spoons, and they still haven't bothered to put up the 'new' name on the facade. However, it is very handy for Manchester's main public transport links and you usually get a reasonable choice of well-kept real ale from the 12 handpumps. OK for a quick pint, but no substitute for a proper pub (of which there are quite a few within walking distance). rpadam - 19 Jun 2010 11:19
