The Alehouse, Reading

Woah, a little bird just told me, must visit reading soon; Hobgoblin beer festival from the 16th to the 19th. The best pub in reading only with MORE beers. I was there last week and the beers were top notch as were the staff. Any excuse but beer festival here i come.

The Allied Arms, Reading

Very expensive (ouch) and not the best kept ale. The hobgoblin i had the other day was very lifeless

The Devonshire Arms, Cambridge

Another visit to sample the food and to catch up with lovely people in the Dev. Yummy chips and the menu is really enticing . . . must go when i need lots of food :-D

Beer very well kept and a lovely atmosphere. The guys running it make it really friendly. My pub of choice in cambridge, especially being so close to the station.

Its a must visit.

Sahara, Reading

Stunning cocktails, great staff and very relaxed.

Great back bar with staff who know how to mix. Try the Sunday Best, its fab.

I love this pub . . . all shiny and new at the moment but still full of character. Looking to visit again soon.

Its large but still cosy and the beer is very well kept.

Nags Head, Reading

second pub on my reading visit. . . .

Lots of beer, some in good condition, some not so good, probably been on a while. A strange pub with only one large room that could do with breaking up. Prefer a bit of character but that could be me.

If i was walking out of town i would head to the retreat tbh.

The Alehouse, Reading

This pub gets better with each vist i make. Eight beers constantly changing and unusual and all kept to a very high standard (cellar staff deserve real praise, you wont find a better pint in Reading).

The place could do with some money spent on it but its clean and tidy with the thousands of pump clips on the wall giving a clue to the dedication of the staff in sourcing the beers.

Staff were friendly and were eager to help me find the best pint as indeed were the locals.
