The White Swan, Twickenham

I'm surprised at the 6/10 score for this admittedly small but charming riverside pub. Knocks spots off the Barmy Arms. Usually has Naked Ladies on and I've only ever found the staff friendly. Could do with more beer variety I suppose but never had a duff pint. With the sun out it's hard to beat the location with plenty happening on the river.

The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

The ex-staff review here is too heartfelt to be anything than honest .I ordered a half from the landlord who promptly served me a pint as he was too busy berating another barman to listen. When I pointed out his error he suggested that it was good beer and I would thank him for it. It wasn't and I didn't. Great potential. Get this lot out and watch it blossom.

The Sussex Arms, Twickenham

A great pub and only 1min from my front door. Always a good atmosphere and friendly staff with the already well documented range of ales and ciders. The 70s vinyl is a bonus in my book. If the pie lady has gone it's a shame but this place would stand strong without food at all. If you are nearby , go.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

Popped in last sunny Sunday and first impressions were very good. Bengal Lancer was on and fine, though barmaid was a zed. Beer garden clean and big enough to avoid being right next to the many families, but the number of toddlers crawling around in and outside could become an issue if here for more than a couple. Will go again in the evening.

The Three Kings, Twickenham

Nice little pub.Decent pint of ale (can't remember what was on sorry) and friendly Manager who brought out roasties for the bar as in days of yore. Think will only get better as it beds in.

The Prince Blucher, Twickenham

Just moved to the area and revisited this pub for first time in 20 years.Reasonable pint of Chiswick served by smiley barmaid.Garden area dominated by families with small children.Manager rather surly.Tried to book breakfast for Rugby World Cup match and was brusquely told by him that they weren't showing that game despite having been told 2 days previously that they were. Will try others nearby to settle on a regular.
