Dont know why it says this pub is closed it was not when I went there.
Had a lovely pint of black sheep when i went in, which went down a treat, decent veggie burger too.

Eagle Tavern, Rochester

good selection of beer, but the seating plan, and the pillar that blocks the bands from many seating angle puts me off a little, likewise the decor.
decent pint of doom bar here though.

The George, London Bridge

Despite it being a greene king pub I had an exccellent pint of george here ( a beer brewed for this pub by gk I was told) lovely little pub.

11 Jan 2010 15:20

The Refreshers, Norwich

I used to work in this pub years and years ago (about 1999) at the timje the lanlord had the spectacular idea of offering a free 1/2 pint with every meal and dessert ordered. Neeldess to say it wasnt a greatly taken up offer.

11 Jan 2010 15:16

The Coopers Arms, Rochester

Had a very nice winter warmer in here the other night, which made a nice change, it was reasonably busy, yet not too crammed. bit pricey but good beers.

11 Jan 2010 15:15

The Prince of Wales, Chatham

had great service in here yesterday, its not a very nice pub, but the youngs was well kept, there was the atomosphere of a fair ground in there replete with the "punch as hard as you can machine" puntuating the silence with occasional whumps.

10 Mar 2009 10:17

The Two Brewers, Rochester

had a nice pint of canterbury jack here the other day, and the master brew was on cheap, landlord could have been a little more friendly, but overall a comfortable place.

25 Feb 2009 16:03

The Hobgoblin, Canterbury

great beer here, and cheap thai food, loved it.

25 Feb 2009 15:56

Unicorn, Bekesbourne

Had a really nice pint here the other day whilst awaiting a train back to the med, great beer on (local canterbury jack) and a well kepyt arty interior, perhaps too much emphahsis on food, but not an overwhelming one.

The Man of Kent Ale House, Rochester

I came in last night, the pub has been generally less busy early on recently, although I only ever pop in every now and then, I Have to say the beer is always in very good nick to my mind, and I like the atomosphere.
The landlord has usually been friendly, even advising me about vegan beers.
I do prefer the good intent, the coopers but in terms of a decent alternative venue with music I like it.
Very friendly pub dog, dude, too.

17 Oct 2008 14:02

The Bell Inn, Rochester

no bitters on tap, and a large crowd, good size garden, and seemingly constant karaoke.

11 Jun 2008 13:03

The Granville Arms, Rochester

seemed ok - ish the other day, locals place, and due to there being no garden people have to go out the front to smoke (including the bar staff!) which as this is the main way in, might put people off.

27 May 2008 15:17

The Command House, Chatham

this pub is missing a trick, although it seems busy enough so they may not see the point in setting things right.
there are no real ales, and the pumps they have are not in use, this is weird, when there is such a great local brewing tradition.
the bar is decorated in hideous style.
the stage is excelelnt and there is good local music going on, why not make the most of it?

27 May 2008 15:15

19 Dec 2007 09:19

19 Dec 2007 09:18

The Command House, Chatham

Went here the other day and was very dissapointed, lovely buolsding all chavved up in terms of decoration, and serving no ales at all that were not bottled.
stage outside though, guess this means they have gigs at least.
felts like a yates!

18 Dec 2007 15:10

The Tap 'n' Tin, Chatham

I think this pub is being grossly underrated on this site, it's the only alternative venue pretty much locally.

The Who'd Ha Thought It, Rochester
