The Whitehall, Bristol

The Redfield, Bristol

Been in here once, for karaoke, a fight took place, the toilet window got smashed, we were quite scared.
There was a beer pump on the bar (cant rememeber the name of the beer, say bass for example) and when we asked for it, the barstaff didnt have a clue what we meant. They said they didnt sell it. Strange.
God knows what time this pub opens though, theres always drunk having a fag in the door way early morning..
the pub is in desperate need of a dust and hoover!

Soapy Joes, Kingswood

deffo a club for local people.. and chavs! little girls with white hotpants and mums stiletos on, not getting chatted up and wondering why, its because they look scarey!

The Star, Kingswood

used to drink here about 8 years ago.. but rough.. lots of mums with their kids and babies left to sleep on and under the chairs while they remained at the bar getting pissed! Think its changed hands now though and children are not allowed in. Not that its a good thing, just better for the people that cant have a drink and then take children home to bed.
Its a nice, clean pub, nice staff, nice beer garden, entertainments good too! :0)

i used to drink in this pub every friday night going back about 6 years, was lovely, toilets arent all that!. It started to turn a bit clicky with the car salesmen at the bar, not moving for people waiting, we go elsewhere now.. dont get me wrong, the pub is nice and they have dont quite a bit to it now, darts, new seating area, nice pub garden..

what a fantastic building.. shame about the inside.. what a hole! They have a massive (MASSIVE) beer garden that is not in use around the back (i saw if from the air balloon doctors).. waste really

St Georges Hall, Redfield

Ah, the winterspoons!
If i'm honest - the barstaff could crack a smile, its quite slow service too, (not all of them mind, a few are a right good laff!)
Yes, we've spent many a drunken night in here for a 'late un' and caused some havoc.. not fighting or anything.. more playing about with the condiments, a game of fottie in the garden and a waterfight with the fire extingusher.. yes, i know, before you comment on how stupid we are, i admit it was very irresponsible but when ur drunk by golly its fun!
Much respect to the manager there who did see the funny side of us and i think secretly enjoyed us going in on a friday/saturday night.. without us you see, it was pretty boring for them!
On a sensible and sober note though.. the food is good, the beer is good, typical wetherspoons with plenty of good offers.
Well done!

The George and Dragon, Redfield

Very nice and friendly pub, very friendly bar maids, nice pint, always someone at the bar to chat to. Pub could definately do with a spruce up, lick of paint and a new carpet but i supposed that makes a local pub, locals dont like too much change do they.. maybe just a lick of paint! Overall though, a lovely place, id definately go back!
