The Halfway House, Pitney

My perfect pub. So good that I regularly make the pilgrimage down from London. Good beers, good ciders, great food.

The Charlie Butler, Mortlake

been there a coupe of times recently still feels like a sixties estate pub. The new landlord is trying hard but the bands are dismal and the jam night terminally dull. Won't go again

What an oasis.Went there whilst working locally. Very frienly locals, good food, good beer and a great selection of whiskies. I didn't thnk pubs like this still existed in central london

The New Inn, Send

Found this pub by accident this afternoon. Beautifuk sunny day, sat outside by the canal. Good beer, good atmosphere, friendly people. I will be back

The Wych Elm, Kingston Upon Thames

Great pub, I go out of my way to drink there. Friendly. a real community pub (go there at Christmas for the brass band carol evening). The best pint of Fullers ESB I have ever tasted, and great food at lunchtimes. A perfect antidote to the bland alcoholic beverage dispensing stations which have taken over most of the area.

The Mitre, Richmond

A real pub and a real oasis. Friendly locals, good beer great conversation. on my last visit the barmaid voluntarily changed my pint because it blooked a bit cloudy!, The two pubs nearest The Mitre have both closed in the last month, so The Mitre is the last proper pub for a long way !
