Found this oddity through BITE. Good choice of beer in excellent condition, but what a stuffy unwelcoming place to strangers. Bit like a club and if you want to sit you have to sit in a box!

First time I've used BITE having left my Good Beer Guide back at base, but it turned up a cracker first time! Fantastic collection of beers, two changed during my visit. Well done the Nag's Head and well done BITE

The Retreat, Reading
last of three pubs I visited in Reading. Lost valuable drinking time finding the place, but rewarded in the end with good beer and company!
