The Three Conies Inn, Thorpe Mandeville

If you've never met Richard, your life is incomplete! What a landlord....just a shade sort of barmy, & always ready with a laugh & a great pint! A visit there never fails to put a smile on my face. A Hooky pub, all beers well kept & a guaranteed warm welcome, decent food & good banter with the regulars. Everything a proper pub should be.

The Red Lion, Culworth

Re-opened & re-vamped by the couple who used to have The Royal Oak in Eydon, & they're doing a great job! Food super & beer spot on. Well worth a visit.

The Royal Oak, Daventry

I'm delighted to say this is my local after recently moving to the area. A free house run superbly by one of the most convivial hosts I've ever met, backed by friendly bar staff & an excellent kitchen. Food & ale outstanding. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed, but book ahead if you want a meal!

Attended a family 'do' there recently. Beer selection good & in excellent condition. The food was also superb. A nice comfortable atmosphere & friendly staff, the new owners are doing a fine job! Well worth a visit.

The Plough Inn, Finstock

Had Sunday lunch there very recently, food & service excellent, one of the best roasts in the area. Friendly & welcoming staff. Beer in great condition & real fire a very welcome feature! If you're thinking of visiting, it might be advisable to book in advance for food though, as they were very busy.

The Woolpack, Banbury

Well run free house with the best real ale selection by far locally, all in tip top condition & with more to come apparently! Brilliant pub, unfortunately robbed of it's rightly deserved Pub of the Year title, but there's always next year...
