Cracking pub and locals are always friendly, especially the posties! but bar always seems to be swimming in ale! Not good especially as they use those plastic backed "towels" that soak nowt up! Often visited over many years (from 1986 onwards) when in the hands of different landlords. Changed a lot over the years but tiled interior is excellent

The Swan Inn, Ulverston
This is still a cracking boozer, especially since smoking ban! Generally, 9 real ales plus bottled beers (Belgian). Beer always good with regular beers from Hawkshead Brewery (Bitter, Gold, Prime) and from other micros. Some favourites (Phoe If ever in Ulverston a must to visit!nix) appear regularly and deservedly so.
