Used to be a good pub but it has now been closed for a number of years. Now a restaurant.

The Pierhead Tavern, Lamlash

Visited in June 2009. No ale but the Guinness was good and at �2.95 a pint the cheapest I found on the island. Staff were friendly and efficient. My pint was topped up without needing to ask. Comfy place with friendly locals. Not a bad place to be.

Duncans Bar, Brodick

Visited this outlet in June 2009. It has changed its name to Mac's Bar and is now part of the McLaren Hotel. Of the three ales I tried only one kept its head for more than a few minutes. I was not greatly impressed.
