The Bull and Gate, Kentish Town

Awesome pint of Guinness here prior to a gig at the forum.
Landlord was very smiley and friendly and didnt seem put off by the hordes of Goths and Metallers beseiging his pub.....

The Assembly House, Kentish Town

Went there on a Sunday afternoon and despite the reviews here, we found it be pretty good on the whole.
Service was friendly, Tucker was tasty and reasonably priced and the beer was tip top...

The Glass Works, Angel, Islington

Great Prices but unfortunately the service left me with wanting a bit more.
Got there at quarter to three on a Tuesday and chose their excellent steak club meal. Unfortunately when ordering at the bar at 14.55, I was told it didnt start til 3pm so I was made to stand at the bar for 5 mins until 3 pm....Not very good considering there were next to no one in the pub so I cant imagine the kitchen was busy
Food was ok but not the best.
Came back for a beer prior to the gig I was going to at The Academy downstairs and it was a lot better...better service and a better atmosphere.
Shame about my lunch......

The Old Wine Vaults, Faversham

Ha Ha Ha....Wine Vaults- you got busted!!!
Someone borrowed the laptop? Give your lap top out over the bar do you?
Come on...just own up...you screwed up and got busted.
Shame, as I really thought you were doing something new and special in a town thats well past its prime as far as drinking circuits are concerned.
Leave the comments to your customers.....No need to falsify the facts!!

Would have been a top notch visit had it not been for the overlong wait at the bar to be served.
Lots of staff Ending and starting shifts but none actually serving except one girl- Bah!
Maybe Thursdays at about 5pm should be avoided then.....

The Dog and Bone, Gillingham

I liked this pub...Nice and welcoming.
Olish feel to the decor and some real bargain priced food that looked good too from what I could see.
Beer was excellent as was the service and was topped off by a nice pooch that walked around the bar waiting for guests to stroke it.

The Britannia, Gillingham

Changed a bit from my last visit...looks like a school dinner hall a bit with its strange furniture...Lots of parents feeding their kids Mcdonalds happy meals too from next door.
Beer was nice though and service was pleasant and welcoming

The Richmal Crompton, Bromley

My last and only visit was ruined by a barman refusing to change a pint that tasted awful- after tasting it through a straw he explained that was how it was supposed to taste.....Obviously its usual for a beer to taste vinegary then....shame as the decor, food and atmosphere in the pub was enjoyable.

The Green Man, Bank

Was in here a few days ago and thought it was great.
Nice relaxed atmosphere upstairs and lots of hustle and bustle downstairs.
Good city pub

The Railway Hotel, Faversham

Last call before the train journey home.....
Dissapointingly only one ale on but a friendly face behind the bar made us feel very welcome
Would come again....

The Old Wine Vaults, Faversham

Not a bad pub and a massive improvement on its previous days as the hole.
Nice decor inside and nice and cosy
Service was a bit grumpy though

The Sun, Faversham

Enjoyable environment as always but the prices are a tad high even for a sheps pub.
Masterbrew not bad, but not superb and not really worth the high price demanded from this cosy little boozer

Leading Light, Faversham

Just come back from a fab office party here.
Staff superb as always- nice and helpful and with four guest ales on plus Abbot and the usual Ruddles, we had lots of choice.
Great grub too and at a very reasonable price
A pub that goes from strength to strength

The Devonshire Arms, Camden

Any pub that has a Front 242 Poster over the bar area has to be fab regardless of what anyone else says or thinks.....

The Hobgoblin, Canterbury

I challenge any pub to beat the nachos that this place serves.....
Serves a good pint of guinness too without costing you an arm and a leg

Captain Digby, Broadstairs

We popped in yesterday (Sunday) for a bite to eat and a drink.
Firstly, the service was attrocious from a guy who clearly didnt want to be there.I very nearly apologised for inconveniencing him when I needed serving
There were no bar snacks or that type of thing being served, which was a bit strange and dissapointing as we only wanted a baguette/sandwich each(surely not everyone wants a full sit down meal on a warm Summers day) but only main meals were available and the cheapest we could find was just under a tenner a head from the very tacky looking laminated home drawn menu.
A pint of house lager and a Diet Coke cost me just 10p shy of a fiver.
So whilst the views from outside overlooking the cliffs are truly spectacular, I would hesitate about another visit as the prices seem a tad high for what really was only standard type of pub fayre.

The Chimney Boy, Faversham

Gone very downhill recently and the wife actually wont go in there anymore because of how she was treated a few weeks back by a very grumpy barmaid

The Sun, Faversham

Bit pricey as with most Shep pubs but serves a good pint of Masterbrew and you've got to love that open fireplace
