The Fox, Twickenham

This pub has been expensively refurbished and is now quite decent, the miasma from the loos has gone, it looks nice,
BUT,
The service is appalling, slow, amateur, slapdash and infuriating.

It is spoiled by the service which needs to be improved. Get rid of the students and bring people in who know what they' re doing.!!

The White Swan, Richmond

Nice friendly gastro-pub, more food than beer, but staff great and more importantly the beer's good.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

This place is dreadful, service is poor and the Pride undrinkable. How they manage to ruin one of the best brews in town is beyond belief. Though it is a training pub for Fullers, the actual manager is not visible and clearly does not extend his influence to keeping good beer.
If you want good beer in a trad pub go somewhere else, if you're happy with rubbish beer, poor service, screaming kids etc then welcome to hell.

The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

I note recent comments are somewhat adverse of the Barmy and its landlord, though DarlesChickens, does do a reasonable parody of making light of a very serious issue.
As a local resident and user of the pub, I and my comrades have rarely ventured there for some 6 months. The increasing irrationalit y of the "guvner" is a given and grows ever more severe.
However, in defence, he is quite charming and an excellent chat in his moments of lucidity.
The beer remains good, i'm told, but alas not for me or my comrades.
There are excellent substitutes in the area which all may feel free to use.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

The staff at the Turks possess the uncanny ability to ruin the Pride as no other pub can or does.
It's high time that Fullers did something positive, that they have done so much damage to what was a great local pub.

The Triple Crown Inn, Richmond

The well known bar-keep of this pub, Mick Carty, has departed, 24Feb2008, so its future is open to debate, as the quality of ale.

The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

Good beer, nice location.

Manager and wife friendly and charming...unlike some of the comments below.

Good place to go for a few quiet pints. Bar staff efficient but they have their blips.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

An alleged flagship pub for Fullers.
The Pride is regularly flat, tasteless and insipid.
We have decamped.

The Ailsa Tavern, Twickenham

Nice to see the place under Brazier family control and the changes from a year ago.
Good choice of ales, and well kept. A better pint of Pride than the Turks Head.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

Turks Head has re-opened following a refurbishment.
Sterile and lacking character.
Beer as ever dreadful.
Service, as of old, awful.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

Fri 10th August.

London Pride flat, insipid, thoroughly nasty. All that for 2-70, a rip-off.

The Sun, Richmond

Joe could do better with the beer.
When on form though, a super pub to have a beer and natter with mates. Unspoilt, which says it all.

St Margarets Tavern, St Margarets

Good choice of ales, usually well kept.

Can get a bit chavvy.

The Turks Head, St Margarets

Very poor quality London Pride.

The Eel Pie, Twickenham

Great pub, super Badger ales, always well kept. Friendly bar staff.
Central Twickenham location and well worth a visit.

The Triple Crown Inn, Richmond

A great pub. You get the finest London Pride in the borough, plus other rela ales and mick and staff keep the stuff decent and served with pride and passion.
Super location next to the Richmond Athletic Ground, home to London Scottish and Richmond rugby clubs.

Upstairs private bar available.

Well worth a regular visit.
